Space Out Now Available
Space Out is now available on itch.io. I thought for my announcement post I would write a small guide to help you survive in space.
Know your Enemies
Two new enemies or hazards are introduced on each board. Learning how they behave are the key to your survival. Each are announced giving you ample time to react to the danger they provide ahead. After a few games, you will know Seekers need to be shot out of space immediately, or hitting a black hole with your ball is better than your ship getting sucked in by it.
Protect your Balls
Losing all your balls comes with the strict penalty of losing the game. However, losing a ship just means you lose any multiplier or power up you have acquired. Crashing your ship to clear a path is a necessary evil you might need to take to save yourself from losing the game. Just remember, you should only do this when the ball is traveling upward because you will be without a ship for a few seconds.
Learn the Angles
Balls travel faster at higher difficulties, making them more difficult to control on angles. In addition, certain boards have hazards that destroy them upon impact, like spiked asteroids or enemy fire. It is always a good idea to keep your ball bouncing as straight as possible. Learning how to keep control of the ball is the key to completing a board.
Hope these help. Good Luck!
